Grammy's ritual, a few days before cooking a holiday meal, was to take out all of the serving dishes and label them with what yummy item was going to be served from them. These bowls and platters and serving dishes were all from down home. Lets see, there was the oval shaped cut glass that would get a small piece of paper with “cranberries” written on it. Then there was a small cut glass bowl that said “whole berries,” because why would one style of cranberries be enough? There was a glass bowl with a lid that sat in a wicker basket, that was where the broccoli and cheese with breadcrumbs was baked and served. She labeled them all to ensure she would be ready for the meal.
Add this vintage bowl to your holiday table, perfect for a charcuterie spread, or cranberry sauce.
